About Peggy Flanagan
Peggy Flanagan is the kind of leader that Minnesotans need in the U.S. Senate because she fights for working families across our state and country. Peggy has a proven track record standing up to Donald Trump, billionaires like Elon Musk, and MAGA Republicans who are working to dismantle Medicaid, Social Security, and our public schools.
Raised by a single mom in St. Louis Park, Peggy knows what it’s like for families to struggle to make ends meet. She has spent her whole career working to make life better for Minnesota's children and families, driven by optimism for what’s possible, and a deep belief in the power of community action and service.
Peggy has worked with others to make meaningful change in every role she’s held - first as a community organizer, then on the Minneapolis school board, in the state legislature, and now as lieutenant governor. As a citizen of the White Earth Nation of Ojibwe, when elected Peggy will make history as the first Native American woman ever to serve in the U.S. Senate.
